Most of our guests do not take the time to post their impressions of their stay on travel sites and blogs. We thought we would use this space to share the written entries from our guest books or the electronic entries we receive via email. Here is an email we received last week:

you really couldn’t have done anything better for us!!!!!!! we had a great time and have told everyone we see and work with about your place!!!!! we will be out there every year if we get the chance. thank you again for everything to you guys and your entire staff!!!!! we haven’t been that relaxed in a long time. i was actually depressed at work (tulalip casino) for a couple of days after we got back. San Juan Island Vacations – Friday Harbor Washington

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Thanks for the Memories!

We receive so many wonderful photos from our guests that we can’t include them all in our newsletter. We will post our favorites here on our blog.

Paul from Zimmerman Minnesota stayed with us this July. He received our newsletter and wanted to share these three stunning sunsets of his vacation on San Juan Island. We are sorry Paul that you were upstaged by Gizmo, but you have to admit that he was really cute!

Please send us your favorite photos to share!

San Juan Island, WA Think Spring

Monday, February 9th, 2009

Even though this is the middle of February and Puxitony Phil thinks there is another 6 weeks of winter…our gardens at the Harrison House are ready to pop. Our first crocus showed its purple head this morning.

There is quite an energy in town on the eve of the Centennial Celebration. Tomorrow Friday Harbor turns 100. We will celebrate in three different venues in town with music, dancing and of course cake. We will share pictures of tomorrows festivities.

The great weather and the Salmon Derby this weekend brought lots of folks to the Island. Many of our guests were disappointed that they were leaving tomorrow and wouldn’t be around for the Centennial Celebrations beginning tomorrow afternoon.

Coho’s new winter menu along with our centennial specials – entrees and bottles of wine for $19.09 and a $100 special for 2 including a starter, main, dessert, wine, taxes and gratuities were popular. We will continue these specials through Friday the 13th.

After the centennial celebration tomorrow, we will turn our energies to prepare the Inn’s for Valentine’s Day -roses, truffles and heart shaped cookies will abound. Our pastry chef’s will be feverishly preparing the pièce de résistance – the 7 deadly sins plate for 2 for dessert!
