Guests Rave over Healthy Breakfast and Off-Season Luxury

Hi there,

We had a lovely stay at Tucker House (Harrison House).  Breakfast was fantastic!  I loved having breakfast in our room.  Often when I travel my stomach gets upset with too much greasy food but your breakfast was AMAZING and I loved that it was lowfat and possibly non gluten and healthy, healthy, healthy. The Friday Suite is delightful and I would love to stay there again.  Thank you so much for the last minute special as I phoned the day before coming and was thrilled to be booked into the Friday Suite… an off season luxury that I know we wouldn’t be able to afford mid summer.  We watched movies both nights we were there, loved the hot tub and enjoyed the spaciousness of the place… seeing as it was winter/spring and quite cold to be out and about it was wonderful to have inside space to spread out in.  I loved the hospitality… staff was wonderful… no complaints… who made that amazing chocolate chip sponge cake?  I would love to make it at home… I still think about it!  The king size bed was to die for comfortable and the pillows win best ever award for comfort of any place I’ve ever stayed in EVER.  Usually I bring my own pillow but won’t worry about that again for the Friday Suite.  It was blissfully quiet and peaceful and I had two nights of wonderful sleep.

Breakfast Room Delivery Crowning Glory

We stayed in the 3 bedroom suite with another couple. It was beautiful, comfortable, and almost as big as our house (1600 sq’). What a great find…. and affordable when shared with others. The superb breakfast delivered to your room was the crowning glory, and the delivered fresh baked cookies were awesome.

Mother & Daughters Find Perfect Vacation

Dear Innskeepers;

We were so thankful to have the opportunity to stay in the Shaw Suite Saturday night.  My daughters and I had such a lovely experience.  Anna Marie greeted us, led us down the lovely path, introduced us to the sweet bottles of milk, juice and coffee in the fridge.  We loved everything, the robes, soap, fully stocked kitchen and the breakfast was the most wonderful ever.

I am so sorry we broke a glass.  The excitement was too much and we knocked an empty glass over onto the table.

I posted pictures of our experience in a blog I have for family.  I just thought you might like to see it.

Guests Enjoy Stay at Harrison House

Of course I meant to send this email a week ago when we returned from your most beautiful property and San Juan Island letting you know how much we enjoyed our two night stay at the Harrison House … my apologies for the delay.

From the minute we arrived (early to pick up our whale watching vouchers) to the minute we departed (early to catch the am ferry back to Anacortes), we found ourselves in a “Awe” state of mind. The San Juan Suite was wonderful. Comfortable and relaxing. Breakfasts both days were perfect. The dinner suggestions were great. Whale watching outfitter was another great choice. Marine biologists and captain on board that day were educating (we were one of the luckier boats that week that saw a menagerie of ocean going mammals and birds).

I have one request … the granola you offer is outstanding … truly some of the best we’ve had. Is it available to purchase on-line or can you send me the provider’s contact information so we can order more.

We wish we could transplant half the island’s wild blackberries … what a special treat on both Orcas and San Juan. I felt like I was shop-lifting the entire time we were there!

Both Britt and I look forward to returning to the islands again in the not so distant future.

Guests Have Extra Special Honey Moon at Harrison House Suites

We wanted to thank you for helping make our honeymoon extra special.  We stayed at your place on September 7th, 2010 and the room was perfect!  Very relaxing.  The bed was like sleeping on a cloud – so nice and comfortable.  We checked out early to get some fishing in and the staff packed us a breakfast to go that was absolutely delicious!  You guys definitely deserve 5-stars.  We are looking forward to coming back.

4-Legged Guests Love Harrison House Suites

Just a note to say hello and let you know how much we enjoy reading your e-mail updates, newsletters and information about your community and the inn.  I really appreciate the VALENTINE dog cookie recipe and will be making some for our 4-legged friends.  When we were guests at your inn a few years back, we were happy that our dog, Buddy was welcome to join us in the front cottage we stayed in.  The backyard was a safe and secure place for him to have some time to himself and he enjoyed morning visits to the little nearby park.  Sad to say our Buddy has passed away, but soon will get get a new dog and look forward to bringing him along with us next time we come to stay at the Harrison House Suites Inn.  Thank you for keeping us on your mail list.

Another Great Guest Review

Dear Harrison House Suites Folks,

We have been to Friday Harbor many times since moving to Whidbey in 1981 but we’ve never ventured any further than the (name withheld by editor) at the top of the hill.  This was a new experience for a couple of old dogs!  Thank you so much for the attention to details.  My husband and I are both teachers so we tend to notice the little things that make a huge difference in the lives of others.

Celebrating 34 years of marriage at your place was an awesome respite from the busy time of year we decided to get married in!

We have been telling all our friends on the south end of Whidbey what a beautiful place you have and we would like to come back and spend a longer period of time in the “Goose on the Pond” cottage.  Thanks again and we hope you have a healthy, hopeful and happy 2011.
