Guests Enjoy Stay at Harrison House

Of course I meant to send this email a week ago when we returned from your most beautiful property and San Juan Island letting you know how much we enjoyed our two night stay at the Harrison House … my apologies for the delay.

From the minute we arrived (early to pick up our whale watching vouchers) to the minute we departed (early to catch the am ferry back to Anacortes), we found ourselves in a “Awe” state of mind. The San Juan Suite was wonderful. Comfortable and relaxing. Breakfasts both days were perfect. The dinner suggestions were great. Whale watching outfitter was another great choice. Marine biologists and captain on board that day were educating (we were one of the luckier boats that week that saw a menagerie of ocean going mammals and birds).

I have one request … the granola you offer is outstanding … truly some of the best we’ve had. Is it available to purchase on-line or can you send me the provider’s contact information so we can order more.

We wish we could transplant half the island’s wild blackberries … what a special treat on both Orcas and San Juan. I felt like I was shop-lifting the entire time we were there!

Both Britt and I look forward to returning to the islands again in the not so distant future.

Easter weekend was the fourth time I’ve been a guest at Harrison House Suites and Harrison House Suites.  Each stay has been delightful whether I’ve been in a suite or one of the individual rooms.  Staff have always been helpful about answering questions and responding to email inquiries.  Rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable; best of all are the delicious breakfasts and the tasty cookies that are waiting in the room when we return from a full day of activity.  I look forward to coming back.

International Guests Enjoy Friday Harbor Inn

Just a short note to say thank you.  We got the package of documents yesterday (my mother sent them Fed-ex) and you have no idea how relieved Cippo and Cinzia were to get their passports back.  Bureaucracy in Italy for lost documents is a nightmare.

Than you SO much for your amazing hospitality.  Jay and I have been beside ourselves in admiration of what an incredibly well run and fantastically rewarding home and restaurant you are running!  While out on a kayak tour, we actually ran into additional families that were staying at your neighboring Tucker House, and we all agreed — your cooking, presentation, work ethic and houses were the best ever.

I am very interested in ordering a cookbook (you mentioned it was being updated) as well as see the pricing for the feathertop mattress tops.  Please send further information on those things when you can.

Island Visitors Contemplate Island Residence After Memorable Visit

Hello,

We have finally returned home after a leisurely trip down the Washington and Oregon coasts.  The capstone of our vacation was the stay in your suite at Friday Harbor and now I find this generous message in my email.  It is extremely thoughtful of you to cover the cost of my mistake by shipping my boots at your expense but that doesn’t seem appropriate to me and I’d like to reimburse you for that and the labor involved, if you would give me an idea of what that amount is.

As for seeing us again, I’d guess you are stuck with us !  My wife and I were so impressed with your facilities and the San Juan islands in general that we are even discussing the possibility of selling here and moving up there.  Thanks again for a great visit and for your assistance.

Saving Pennies for Return Trip to San Juan Island Inn

My three kids and I just returned from our 12 day road trip through the pacific north west, and although we saw so many amazing places and did so many amazingly fun things, we all four agreed that your Inn (Shaw Suite) was our favorite place to stay the entire trip.  As the “splurge” accommodation in our very low budget road trip, it was everything I had hoped it would be, and then some.  The room was perfect for our needs after a long, fun day of kayaking, the cookies tremendous (I’m making some this weekend), and breakfast on Friday even better.  I also appreciate that you accommodated both my sons’ dislike of cheese and eggs  and serving them extra cobbler.    We all fell in love with the islands and were disappointed we could not stay longer.   I know I’m saving my pennies for a return trip!
