New Additions to Tucker House and Harrision House Suites
Meet our new staff members at Tucker House and Harrison House Suites! Stacey one of our innkeeper chefs will be whipping up our award- winning breakfasts and gourmet cookies! Teresa is our newest Innkeeper and she is ready to help you with any situation that may arise! Jane has joined our housekeeping staff and she has brought all of her cheer and happiness with her! Our most precious addition is LB! He is our 1 pound chihuahua that Wenda our innkeeper, chef and gardener brought back to us from Idaho!
Stacey came to us via Chicago and lives on San Juan with her 6 year-old son. She delights in recreating delicious dishes that she has tried at restaurants in her home kitchen. She calmly and without missing a step can discuss balsamic reduction, while tying her child’s shoes. Stacey has been in the food and beverage industry for the last 15 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and new delicious recipes to the Inns. Stacey is a fun and eclectic personality that isn’t afraid to try any type of food! She owned a cake business on the island and made an infamous three-tiered Dr. Seuss cake for the San Juan Library!
Teresa joins us from Eugene, Oregon, where she was a Clinical Director for a children’s facility. She and her partner Thomas, met in the San Juan Islands four years ago, while guests at the same bed and breakfast! They have a beautiful black and white, rescued, blind cocker spaniel that is always bumping into things, named Grover. Teresa enjoys yoga, hiking and living the relaxed, quiet island lifestyle. A little fact about Teresa is that she has read over 5,000 books!
Jane is always wearing a smile and she never wears a matching pair of earrings! Her delightful demeanor is a breath of fresh air and leaves you with a smile on your face. Jane likes to be busy and has worked many jobs on the island. We first met Jane a few years ago as delivery driver for one of our wine reps. She still delivers wine to us on Wednesday and sometimes we do a double take when we see her on other days remembering she is wearing her other ‘hat’. Her favorite job ever was mucking stalls and grooming horses at the Louisiana Race track. Talk about an animal lover!
LB got his name because he ways 1 pound. Teresa thought LB was the perfect name for such a pint sized little fluff! The other day he got so excited at the gravel pit in Friday Harbor that he squired out of his dog sitters arms and got a concussion! We tried to have him wear a pint sized helmet, but he wouldn’t hear of it! Don’t worry, a few hours later he was back to his toy playing and napping self.
