We recommend that our guests enjoy kayaking trips that leave from Roche Harbor or San Juan County Park. Our partner operators offer transportation to and from the launch site from downtown Friday Harbor, a few blocks from the Harrison House Suites. Some operators offer kayaking rentals if you prefer a self-guided tour. The Harrison House Suites has complementary sea kayaks for experienced paddlers. The waters around the island are challenging enough to feel a sense of accomplishment, yet plentiful enough to keep you exploring the vast array of wildlife that inhabit these waters. Our innkeepers will guide you to a number of kayak-friendly access points including, San Juan County Park, Turn Point Park, Jackson Beach, or Roche Harbor.
